Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Online Submission                                      

Prepared manuscript author submitted using online system (OJS). Before submitting should be carefully reading the detailed article guidelines, formatting instructions, and uploading directions.

Submitted manuscript/paper will be accepted by the editor for first screening. If it passes this process, it will be sent for peer review.  Manuscripts that do not correspond to the kinds of articles the Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica, either in subject matter or in format will be returned to the author for correction or rejected. Approximately 30 % of submitted manuscripts are not suitable for publishing and rejected.

 

Registration requirements:

First Name: lowercase letters except for the first letter.

Middle Name : lowercase letters except for the first letter.

Last Name: lowercase letters except for the first letter.

Phone, fax: telephone/fax numbers are prefixed with the country code preceded by a "+", and separated with hyphens (e.g. +42X-YY-ZZZ-ZZZZ).

Write manuscript title using lowercase letters except for the first letter of the title and words that start with uppercase letter.

Register as author (able to submit manuscripts to the journal).

Affiliation: Affiliations must be written in lowercase letters.

The papers only in English language are accepted. Please write your text in correct academic British/American English.

Papers published in the Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica uses conventional format of scientific papers based on IMRAD structure – IMRAD refers to the standard structure of the body of scientific manuscripts:

  • Introduction,
  • Material and Methods,
  • Results, and
  • Discussion and Conclusions.

Periodicity: 4 issues per year
Online publishing:  March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Paper submitted to regular Volumes is correctly assigned to Plant or Animal Science session of the journal. For details, take look at the Aim and Scope of the journal.
  4. The text is prepared according the Author guidelines available at http://www.acta.fapz.uniag.sk/for-authors.html, otherwise object of rejection.

     

  5. All cited references are correctly placed in the list of References including DOI in correct format, where applicable, in form of active, searchable links, otherwise object of rejection.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  7. Cover letter includes proposal of a minimum of three (3) possible indipendent reviewers with their affiliation and e-mail adresses.

Collect of Information
As part of the registration, account setup and submission is required email address and some personal information.

Use of Information
The email address of author(s) is provided as part of the process will be used to contact author(s) regarding purchases, services, and accounts. Contact email address will not be used for marketing purposes. The information about authors is protected and secure.

Disclosure of Information to others
The Journal editors will not be provided any personally identifiable information to Third Parties (except reviewers – details, see Reviewing Process).
